Is it true about gas prices going up because of scarcity or is it all bullshit?

I must say that Gas scarcity is indeed true, considering that New Orleans is plunging into the deep, we must be thankful that we are alive, everyday... slowly.... New Orleans is plunging slowly into the blue abyss. three-hundred years and the "Levees" are still not fully constructed, and now 'tis teetering sideways like the titanic, now, all we can do is watch in horror, and "Gas prices" is not something of the matter, all we must concern about currently is evacuating the people before 'tis far too late...

Not for the time being a quick change into hydro cars will decline into an economical collaps.

gas prices suck, but I work for a company and they pay for my gas, so well I dont have 2 pay for gas, but the price still sucks, it took 150.00 dollers 2 fill my truck up yesterday, but again I dont have 2 pay for it.

Well, if I could throw in my 2 cents here. Gas price inflation is all about supply and demand. Supply goes down with a steady demand, price goes up. It's simple economics.

I just got out of my Supply and Demand lesson for gas.

I guess people started to figure that out after Katrina (also an extreamly hot girl I know) destroyed 20 oil platforms (also an evil storm i hate).
I can't remember where though there's a place somewhere in the US that has gas prices currently at 6.50 a liter. At least that's what they where at yesterday.
